Daily Devotion (English) – 23.12.2022 (Christmas Special)

 

A meaningless Christmas. 

 

“Should you not walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the nations, our enemies?” - Nehemiah 5:9 

 

My dear! We are meditating on the topic "Meaningful Christmas". Today it will be good to imagine "What is a meaningless Christmas?".

 

1. We are irritated if our neighbor’s garbage or wastewater came into our front yard or park their vehicles in our front yard. If we develop hatred for these tiniest issues and hang star in front of our house, will this be glorified Christ or will it give happiness to others"

 

2. If we have a negative vibe around us in our workplace or being an irritant fellow to non-believers and give cake with a smiling face, will it be a Happy Christmas?

 

3. Christians being government employees, getting bribes and changing the truth then give dresses and cake to the bottom-line workers during Christmas, will glorify Christ? Or will it be Shame to Christ?

 

4. During college days, being Christian children, teasing others, being happy by speaking dirty words, sharing wrong websites, having boyfriend, girlfriend and living a life to fulfill your heart's desires and after that on Christmas day sharing Christmas wishes like a true Christian, will Christ be glorified among your friends? 

 

My dear! We see meaningless Christmas in the above-mentioned points. Yea, we can celebrate a meaningful Christmas only if we are a true Christian. If not, our Christmas celebrations will have luxury and happiness without a meaning. Not only on Christmas day but if we as a Christians live a life by reflecting Christ, our Christmas gifts, wishes will be meaningful. It will not only bring happiness to us but also to those around us.
