“For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish.” - 2 Corinthians 2:15

 

Selvi was working in a wealthy family due to poverty. She had to stop her schooling and go to work. She loved Jesus very dearly. She won’t do anything without praying. There was a girl named Reena and she was the only child to the wealthy family. Reena didn't respect her parents and lived according to her will. Her mother will show her anger on Reena to Selvi. She was very rude to Selvi. One day, Reena came from college, and she appeared to be depressed and injured herself with whatever she could find. Her parents tried to comfort her, but they couldn't do it. Selvi saw this, prayed in her heart, went to Reena and tried talking lovingly to her. Reena refused to listen to Selvi but after a couple of days she started to listen to Selvi. Reena started listening to the Love of Jesus, she came out of depression and Reena underwent a great change. The deeds of Selvi and her witnessing life brought a huge change in Reena's life and her family. 

 

Like this in 2 Kings 5, that little girl being a servant in Naaman's house, didn't only did what she had to but also was kind to everyone in the house. It is common for everyone to ignore the words of servants. But Naaman being a commander, listened to that little girl, imagine how close she was with God and her life could have reflected that too. She was distinguished in that household. Her words brought salvation to Syria. 

 

My dear Christians! Wherever you work is your mission field. Don't forget to speak about Jesus whatever work you do. Wait in the presence of God before speaking. Live as a role model. Only then our words will work in the heart of others. So let us spend more time in the relationship with God. Let us celebrate this Christmas meaningfully by sharing the love of Christ with others.
