Faithful Prayer 

 

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick ….. “ - James 5:15

 

Selvam is an 11 year old orphan. He was sick as he lived in dirty streets. Doctors said that he has to undergo a surgery due to the severity of the disease. Selvam used to pray daily. He is good by character. Doctors came forward to help him. The surgeon saw his action before the operation and thought it was a challenge to him. Selvam knelt down and prayed "Help the doctors to complete the surgery without fail Amen"."Faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." (1 Corinthians 2:5). It was the reason for the successful surgery. The doctor praised God for the faithful prayer of Selvam. 

 

We can see Daniel a warrior of faith in the Bible. He knelt down and prayed to God three times a day breaking the decree passed by the king. He was saved from the lion's den without any damage. Because God made the king to say, The God He worship daily will save him. (Daniel 6:16).

 

My dear, How is your faith? are we dependent on him in everything and one with him ? Or are we faithless thinking I have no connection to God and pessimistic in everything we do? Let us realize ourselves. Let us be like Selvam and share our faith with others. Rejoice in the power of faith.
