Curse

 

“The curse of the Lord is on the house of the wicked, but He blesses the home of the just” - Proverbs 3:33

 

Around 20 years ago an old woman invited an evangelist to pray. He went to her house around 7 pm. There was a big sweet stall in their home's entrance. In the next room he saw an young man with his hands and legs tied to the cot with ropes. He had beard covering his face, no proper clothes and looked like a mad man. Then he saw an young woman with mental disability. That woman said with tears in her eyes "We are already past 60, we has a big store, land and riches. But we don’t have happiness and peace. Who will look after these children after us. We don’t know whose sin or curse this is. We are living in hell." She said, "Please pray for us." He was praying for them. When he shared this with an elder evangelist, he said this is "curse". 

 

What is curse ? It is "Either unforgiven sin or God's anger". We have to seek forgiveness to God for our sins when we are alive. If not it will be a curse on their generation. In Exodus 34:7 God tells to the Israelites that "He will punish the children for the sins of their parents for third and fourth generation." Deuteronomy 11:26 says, "See I am setting before you today blessing and a curse" what are we going to chose? Incase if we live in wilful sin, curse will be in our house. Even if we cannot leave riches, we should never leave curse for our generation. My dear! Jesus died on the cross, the symbol of curse to rectify our curse. A crown of thorn was kept in his head. That thorns represent curse. If we have curse in our family, it can be broken if we seek forgiveness to our Lord and washed in His blood. He will release you from whatever curse you are in. Look at his cross. Freedom is guaranteed.
