Daily Devotion (English) – 04.11.2022

 

Wait       

 

“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry” - Habakkuk 2:3

 

A man was delivered from his sins and he left his family behind to go as a missionary to tribal people in North India. He couldn't reap any souls for 5 years besides an old woman with hearing deformities. One day he decided to go back to his state as he was tired and couldn't wait any longer. Suddenly one day he heard that old woman died. Her family called him as she asked her family beforehand to give her body a Christian burial once she is dead. He went there and stood with tears in his eyes. God started working. Once he started praying, God brought her back to life. On seeing this entire village came into salvation. God started and finished successfully when this missionary thought it's over. 

 

The experience of waiting should happen to all the children of God at some point. God's presence will comfort us. In the Bible God has never permitted shame in the lives of those who waited for God. They all waited and made their faith shine. Abraham waited many years for his promise to be fulfilled. The end was blessed and happy. Jesus knew Lazarus was dead and yet he delayed. In the end He did a miracle to glorify God's name. 

 

My dear brothers and sisters! Is God making you wait in your job, marriage, health or debt? Don’t worry. Let the presence of God and His verse comfort you. He will give the best if He delays. When the time is right, He will finish quickly beyond our imagination. It will be unbelievable for us. Hallelujah.
