Psalm of the blessed

 

“For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.” - Psalms 84:10

 

We can learn lot of things if we meditate each and every psalm. Today let us meditate on 84th Psalm. In this psalm we can see the term "blessed" has been used for three times. This psalm should be memorized as it points who are blessed. 

 

1. Blessed are they that dwell in thy house. (Verse 4)

This mentions about the experience in God's presence. God's home as mentioned here is God's presence. We are blessed when we truly seek and come closer to God and get the experience of living with Him always. We will be talking to God when we are sitting, standing up, folding the clothes, cooking, going to office and how happy it is!

 

2. Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee. (Verse 5)

Most of them get a feeling of tiredness when they reach the age of 40. We often get ourselves tested for any diseases. On crossing 60 the world gives the post of senior citizens. Whether we did make up in our youth or not now we try something to make us appear young. We are careful in our food as we are careful not to lose our strength. Our strength shouldn't lie on the healthy food or the tablets or injection but in Him. We can feel the lively strength and a precious strength filling us when we are strengthening in Him. We will be screaming He is my strength like Habakkuk did.

 

3. Blessed is the man that trusteth in thee (Verse 12)

Yes let us place all our faith in God. Let us place our 100 percent faith in God instead of saying 99% Ill trust God and ill trust myself 1%. Let us complete our life as blessed people.
