Press forward 

 

“If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small” - Proverbs 24:10

 

Inter University games will be conducted between colleges in the US. Trinity College lost to Yale University in January 18, 2012 before that it had 25 wins in squash. It had a 14-win streak before that. The coach of that team was Paul Assiante, his friend a famous football coach sent him a main which had three words "Wait rise again". We have to rise again when we face failures. We shouldn't be tired if the failure. Those who didn’t face any failures will be lost and gone when they face failures. 

 

In 1 Kings, Prophet Elijah was left heart broken when he read the letter of Jezebel and said "It is enough Lord" before sliding back. But the Lord said, "Arise and eat because the journey is too great for you". We come into wrong conclusion when we have unexpected negative results. We should listen to God instead of listening to such ideas. Bible doesn't accept our weariness or retreating. Instead, God want us to investigate and press forward. 

 

We can read in Hebrews "Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward". And further it says, "But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul". (Hebrews10:35, 39). My dear in God, in today’s devotion we read as "If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small". Press forward holding on the Word of God during turmoil, failures and problems. God will help you. Let your race and actions not be hindered.
