“Remember now, O Lord, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in your sight.” - 2 kings 20:3

 

John D Rockefeller senior was desperate to earn money, and started working towards it. In his 43 he owned the world's biggest company. In his 53 he became so rich. At the same time he got alopecia, it’s a disease by which he lost all his hair. He can only eat biscuits and drink milk apart from that he can’t eat anything. The doctors diagnosed and said he will live for 2 years at most. He lost his sleep. One day he woke up with new found strength. He started to spend his immense wealth to help the missionary organizations and the poor. He started an organization called the Rockefeller foundation and spend his money for medical research, as a research penicillin was invented. His sleep became peaceful. Doctors said he will live for only 2 years at the age of 54 but he lived till he was 98 and died in Christ. 

 

Like the above incident, in the Bible king Hezekiah was also suffering for a disease and about to die. God spoke to Hezekiah through Isaiah the son of Amoz and said "You shall die and not live". He cried and prayed to God. Then God spoke to Isaiah and said "I have heard your prayers, I have seen your tears; surely I will heal you and I will add to your days fifteen years" and changed his life. 

 

My dear! Are your sufferings from a disease for a long time? Is your death determined by the doctor? Or your days are counted?. Whatever the doctors have written can be overwritten by the Blood of Jesus which he shed on the cross. And if you can’t change a shame brought to you by someone else, if you do the right things in the eyes of God, He can change what written by other for your good. Hallelujah!
