Honorable Police department

 

“Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gathered about you; and be a guard for them.” - Ezekiel 38:7

 

In 1959, 10 courageous policemen were Killed when they were fighting against many Chinese soldiers in hot springs Ladakh. Commemoration day is being celebrated on October 21 to remember these policemen. According to a report from the Indian independence 34,844 policemen have died for the country. To remember them, a wall of honor can be seen in new Delhi. Not only this, but lot of policemen and soldiers have sacrificed their sleep, hunger and thirst to protect their country. Let us remember all those soldiers and thank God. 

 

We know that in the Bible, Mordecai a guard protected the king, and protected the Jews from destruction. (Esther 6:1-11)

 

We can also read that Nehemiah “So neither I, my brethren, my servants, nor the men of the guard who followed me took off our clothes, except, except that everyone took them off for washing". "The men held the spears from daybreak until the stars appeared." (Nehemiah 4:21,23). All these make us more patriotic. 

 

My dear, like this those who have been sacrificed for the country has been listed in the history. Above everything, Jesus Christ became a sacrifice for the whole world. And lot more saints have been martyred for the sake of the Gospel. If we all don’t have the calling to die as a martyr, we are called to watch over our country. We have to be prepared and also prepare our group. Are you ready for that?
