Adjustment 

 

“…If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left.” - Genesis 13:9

 

News I read on the news paper said: A man cleaned his land measured it and started building a house. He took 6 inches of his neighbor’s land by mistake. His neighbor started fighting and it created hatred. They both weren't convinced. One day his neighbor killed this guy who took 6 inches of land. Now that killer is in jail. This could be solved if they sat down and talked but instead it ended in murder. 

 

In the Bible, Abraham was a good example. His nephew Lot also had plenty of land with him. The shepherds of both Abraham and Lot started fighting with each other. In Genesis 13 we can see the wonderful act of Abraham. He adjusted to Lot and said "If you take the left than I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left". By doing this Abraham wasn't short in anything. God blessed Abraham more and more.

 

My dear friends those who are reading this, nowadays this world is mot traveling in a good path. Lots of people don’t have the character of adjustment. So, we as Christians should adjust in our families, with our relatives, in our work places and in the mission field. If we have this character with us we will be a blessing for many. In this world lot of people are living based on selfishness. If we live a life in which we are adjusting to others, people can know God through us.
