Revival

 

“I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!” - Luke 12:49

 

Pandit Ramabai is a Brahmin lady. She accepted Jesus Christ in 1891. She is good in social work. She lost her parents in 1886 famine. She married a lawyer from Bengal when she was 22. In 19 months her husband passed away. Then her only brother passed away. She became a young widow. Young widows were burnt in Sati. She lived for Christ amidst the society that doesn’t accept widows’ remarriage. In 1899 she spent most of her time in fasting and prayer for the revival of India. Her thirst for revival increased. Then she started 10 people prayer cell and started to pray for the salvation of all the namesake Christians, for Holy spirit to be poured through the country. This brought revival among Women. 

 

In Luke chapter 2 there was a prophet named Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She lived with her husband before becoming a widow. Then she didn’t think about her life, she never left the temple, worshipped night and day, fasting and praying for the salvation of her people. She did that till she was 84. 

 

My dear! What are you doing for Christ? If Pandit Ramabai born in a Hindu family, lost her parents, her husband and became a widow stood before Christ and brought a revival in India, it is obvious that God will bring a huge revival through you! If you have a thirst for revival in your heart, God's fire will touch you today without a doubt. It is enough for you to think " I'm an ordinary person, what can I do". Rise as a revival fire! God will make you burn bright.
