Daily Devotion (English) – 12.09.2022 (Youth Special)

 

Deborah rise 

 

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” - Isaiah 60:1

 

Who is this Deborah? She was the first female judge in Israel. We all think that women are soft and emotionally weak. But we can see strong women like Deborah too. In judges 4:6,7,8 we can see, her reminding Barak about God telling him to go to war. Barak says " If you will go with me, then I will go, but if you will not go with me, I will not go." We can see the courage and confidence of Deborah when we read this passage. 

 

I want to cheer all the young boys and girls those are reading this. 

 

We are called to win the battle! But not to be discouraged and sit down. We are called to rise and shine with the little strength that God gave us. You might be stuck thinking that you don't have the strength to face certain problems. There is no situation that God cannot change. He is the God Who calls empty people as if they were full. All you have to do is let God perform on whatever the situation you are in. God wants you to rise and shine like Deborah. We can learn many things from Deborah. 

 

   1. She had God as her strength.

   2. As a woman being a judge is not her only job. She should have been a good daughter, wife and mother, fulfilled her duties. 

 

In this young age if you get a hold of Jesus it will be a blessing for your generation. Do you think you can't do anything? God want to shake this world through you. Don't forget! Submit yourself to God to rise and shine like Deborah. God will miraculously guide you! Hallelujah.
