“But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men” - Mathew 15:9
A radio advertisement of a church attracted me. It said "you might not interest in Christianity as you have heard about Christ. You might be wondering that Jesus is not interested in religion! But we should love one another. He taught us to love others more than we love ourselves. And you might not like the issues of our church. But we offer strong connection. We learn to love God and one another. You are welcome"
2000 years ago, Jesus came to Earth. His aim was not to start a religion and to be the priest of that religion. Lot of people made rules and wanted to grow the religion. By doing so is there any good for man, sin was multiplied in the name of the religion, that's what people got. During His time on Earth, Jesus rebutted Pharisees and Sadducees, who were faithful to their religion. Jesus preached during His days on earth that “Priests left kindness, justice and the knowledge about God behind to give more importance to their cultures”.
Nowadays in this world crores of people are thinking that their religion and culture are more important to them. But Christianity clearly says, not religion or culture but listening to Jesus and His words is the foremost commandment. While reading this, you might be of a different religion. For your reference, religion is not important for human beings. Worshipping a God who has humanity in Him is the best. Let God help you.
