One time meal

 

“And put a knife to your throat if you are a man given to appetite” - Proverbs 23:2

 

A woman called Billy Graham on the phone and said “I’m enslaved by something; I can't come out of it. I tried several times but I couldn't overcome it. Can I come out of it?" The only way out of it is Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ who said " Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" can free you, he said. 

 

Let us see what Billy Graham says about gluttony. In this world countless people are dying of hunger, yet here we are eating too much of food, can it be justified? What the Bible says about those who doesn't care about the needy and lives a luxurious life? "But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?" (1John 3:17)

 

In this day gluttons are dying more than hungry people. In this modern world gluttony is the main reason for most of the diseases. Gluttony kills us. Bible says “Gluttons end is destruction, their god is their belly". Most of us don't consider gluttony as a sin. We don't think "Eating too much becomes poison". There is no law to stop gluttony from Christians but there are warnings in the Bible. 

 

My dear! Let us eat God given food with thanks, limit and live a healthy life. Let us think about those who are hungry around us. Help them if possible. If we share our excess food with those who are needy, it will give joy to our heart and pleasure in helping others. This pleasure will become helping hands in the future. Let us feed our hungry society. Hallelujah!
