Importance of forgiveness.
“Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?” - Matthew 18:33
We are living in highly modern world. CCTV cameras can be found everywhere from railway station to offices and even houses. We should not that; whatever captured once can be reviewed over and over again. It can't be forgotten or hidden.
A parable is said in Mathew 18. A servant had a debt of 10000 talents to his master. He didn't have the income to pay it back. His master forgave his debts as he pleaded to him. Isn't he a good master? This servant was harsh on his fellow servant who owed him 100 talents, it is painful. Despite of his fellow servant owed him very little amount he chocked him and out him in jail. How cruel is this. This incident was reported to his master by another servant, his master throws him in jail this can be seen in Mathew 18:23-25.
My dear, God is willing to forgive us. He wants us to be like Him. It is normal, isn't it? In Mathew 18:33 God says, 'should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?’. We should have the tendency to forgive if we want to live peacefully in this world. We should know whom to forgive. If we show that we love someone who forgave us, and not forgiving those who seek our forgiveness we forget the God who forgave and accepted us. God knows it all if we forget or hide it from Him. If we change our tendency to forgive and forget the debts of others, it will have some impact on this society.
