Don't waste time

 

“Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” - Ephesians 5:16

 

A king gave the key of his treasury to a poor citizen telling him "take whatever you want before sleeping". This man went home happily and told his wife about this, she said "go take whatever you can as soon as possible". This man couldn't control the happiness and told his wife "cook me a tasty meal and I'll go after that". He told "let me go after a nap" and slept for some time after eating. It was evening when he wakes up and he rushed to the treasury, and he saw a mango tree on his way and started to pick mangoes and eating them. It was night when he approached the king. The king said, "you lost the good opportunity given to you" and kicked him out. 

 

One of the best gifts God has given to man is time. Most of the time we waste time and lose God's blessing. Let us look at some time-wasting things in our daily lives.

 

1. Most of the time we expect inspiration from others for external things and waste time.

 

2. Wasting time by thinking what others will think about this. 

 

3. Complaining about the obstacles and waste time. 

 

4. Wasting time by comparing ourselves to others.

 

5. Making a mistake once is normal but repeating it isn't .

 

6. Not giving importance for things that improve our lives, instead wasting time on things that doesn't. 

 

7. Getting tired of failures and not moving on to the next stage.

 

My dear! Apostle Paul writes to Ephesians "Redeeming the time, because the days are evil." There are countless ways to waste time in this current era. We won't get tired of these worldly things and go to next stage in our life if we spend our time wisely, give time for God and devoting the Bible verse. We can live a successful life if we use the opportunity God gives us daily.
