Do what you can

 

“…Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” - Mark 16:15

 

A little boy named Saran has both his legs disabled. Since he can't walk and his family thought he is useless, left him in a bus stand somewhere and left him there. He was fed by the kindness of those who walk past him daily. Sun, rain and cold are his company. Few weeks passed by and something good happened in his life one day. An old woman made her living by collecting and selling garbage found him and took him to her tiny house. She loved him and fed him daily. She took care of him with passion. She was a child of God so she will read Bible and pray daily. She taught Saran to pray. Since Saran doesn’t know to read or write, she taught him the letters so that he can read the Bible. She often shared a burden with him that is "we should do something for God". One day she died. Saran was sad; he was shifted to a government orphanage by a kindhearted man. He was allotted the first floor and his bed was near the window. There he was reading the Bible and praying daily.

 

In his heart he always thought "I should do something for God". He grew weary of his situation and thought to himself "In my current situation what can I do ". One day he asked the caretaker for a pen and a book. From that day onwards, daily he will write a Bible verse, roll it and put it down the window. That is his ministry. One day a young girl passed that way to commit suicide because she was depressed of her loneliness. At that time Saran's paper fell on her head, she opened it up and read it. It said, "Do not be afraid, I am with you". She felt good after reading the verse and went back home. Her life changed. This useless Saran was a blessing for many. 

 

My dear brother, sister have you done something for Christ, think yourself. If disabled Saran can be useful to God, can you sit idle? Try to do the ministry of your capability okay?
