Anger

 

“Then the Lord said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face down cast?" - Genesis 4:6

 

An old woman was stabbed to death in Antwerp in Belgium. Police investigated and found out that she is Maria Verlinden, a retired teacher. After a long time a guy named Uwents was arrested. His statement shocked everyone. 

 

Uwents said Verlinden was my first-grade teacher, once she scolded me amidst the students and I couldn't bear it. The feeling of revenge was living inside of me. I couldn't control the feeling when I saw her. So I stabbed her 101 times and murdered her. The funny part is "Uwents is a faithful Christian, he will help the homeless nearby with whatever he can" is what his neighbors shared about him. This revenge incident occurred after 39 years, and it teaches a lesson. 

 

We can read a murder in Genesis 4. Cain murdered his brother Abel even though his actions were bad. Murderous intent will fill a man who has anger in his heart. Bitterness, anger, vengeance are some characteristics of the devil. Apostle Paul writes "Don't let devil come in". Those who commit wrong in their characters lose their lives. There are lots of incidents to support this message in the Bible. Let us beware and live to get the 9 spiritual fruits according to Galatians 5:22,23. God will help us! Amen!
