Daily Devotion (English) – 25.07.2022 (Youth Special)

 

Isn't it strange? 

 

“Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened?” - Mark 8:17

 

1. When we take 50 rupees from our pockets as we don't have any smaller amount, it appears as a big amount. While the same amount seems nothing when going for a mall with friends! Isn't it strange?

 

2. 2.5 hours seems like a long time when we are in church. But the same is a short time while watching a cinema! Isn't it strange?

 

3. Reading a chapter in the Bible is boring. While reading hundreds of pages from a novel or a journal is not boring! Isn't it strange?

 

4. We know about a special meeting in the church about two weeks prior, cancel the same meeting for some urgent parties! Isn't it strange?

 

5. After college we skip the 15 minutes prayer cells and say "we don't want to miss the bus". We don't say that during a friend's treat! Isn't it strange?

 

6. We believe whatever is in the news but question the Bible! Isn't it strange?

 

7. Sitting on a bus and we trust the driver, but we are hesitant to give our lives in the hands of our Lord Who created it! Isn't it strange?

 

8. We are hesitant to support our mother with 100 rupees for household expenses, but instantly giving 100 rupees for not wearing helmets! Isn't it strange?

 

9. When someone asks us to buy some spiritual book in church, we say "parents won't give extra money" but spend 500,600 extra to stitch new model dress! Isn't it strange?

 

10. We are struggling to go to heaven, but refuse to die! Isn't it strange?
