Sluggard 

 

“The desire of the lazy man kills him, for his hands refuse to labor” - Proverbs 21:25

 

There lived a first-class sluggard during the time of Leonard Tolstoy. He met Tolstoy and said "Sir my father don't have legs so please help me". That young man was well built so he asked "A permanent solution or a temporary one?". He was happy and thought to himself let me ask the permanent solution and said, "Sir please give the permanent solution". 

 

"Cut off your right hand, I'll give 500 rupees for it,” said Tolstoy. That sluggard was very angry and asked, "Only 500 for my right hand?" Tolstoy again said, "scoop out your right eye I'll give you 1000 rupees". Tolstoy explained him by saying "Go work and live with your priceless body". That sluggard's eyes were opened, he had lot of strength in him but without knowing this he was ashamed to be lazy all these days. He became active and came out of his laziness. This incident is viewed as special because the world-famous writer Tolstoy has changed a sluggard to an active young man. 

 

My dear beloved in Christ! Even today the good news is being told to lot of lazy men by the Wiseman Solomon. We can read in the Bible about laziness can poverty and rags. Procrastination is the foremost symptom of laziness. If complete our daily task on time, there is no job for laziness there. In Mathews Jesus says, “Lazy people will be cast into outer darkness". Like the saying “Alcohol is injurious to health" "Lazy people are a huge burden to both country and the house". Pray to God. Jesus will help you to come out of laziness.
