How do you look?

 

“…for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” - I Samuel 16:7

 

A footwear shop owner wanted to open a branch in a neighboring island. He sent two of his servants for a field visit. After enquiring for a while both came back, first one said " Sir, they are do not have the habit of wearing footwears, so they won’t buy". The second servant said, " Sir they have no idea about footwears, so if we spread awareness among them, they all will buy". The situation is same, but both viewed it differently. 

 

Like this when Joshua and Caleb went to Canaan for spying, everyone's report was different from that of Joshua and Caleb's. Situation is same but the view is different. In Genesis 39:3-4, Potiphar saw God in Joseph while his wife saw Joseph as a beautiful young man. (Genesis 39:6, 7) 

 

How are out looks nowadays? Are we weighing people for their looks? Let us examine ourselves. Are we expressing our education, beauty, status or riches when someone look at us or are, we reflecting God?

 

How are we looking at our situation? Everything is finished or I can’t do anything? Are we saying everything is useless? Or challenging our situations through faith? Whatever the situation we can do everything through Christ who strengthens us. God of victory is among us. So, pursue your assigned works without being tired. God is with you.
