“Because He Himself suffered when He was tempted, He is able to help those who are being tempted” - Hebrews 2:18

 

Rachel the only child got married recently. Her father came to visit her; he was welcomed by his daughter and son-in-law. He said, “Rachel I bought your favorite fishes on my way here lets have it for lunch". Rachel said “father your son-in-law don’t like fish, so I stopped cooking fish" her father was very happy on hearing this. Because to have a successful marriage both of them should know the likes and dislikes of their spouse. 

 

We are called to please Jesus Christ in this world. If we think "Do Jesus loves what I do now? Will He support this?" before doing something, we can live a successful life separated from sins. Drifting away from God's will is sin. Humans in the beginning drifted away and sinned. But Jesus Christ, the second Adam came to this world in body of flesh and blood like us. We don't know about the link between His human and holiness. But if He is tempted then He must be a full human because holiness cannot be tempted or sinned. Then how did He lead a holy life? 

 

My beloved! Jesus Christ won his temptations by pleasing the Father, fellowship with the Father, strength of the Holy Spirit and wholehearted prayer. He reached out His hands to us, as we cannot say no to sin. Because when he was in this sinful world, Satan, enemies, common people, His kin and his disciples were pushed and tempted and He didn't sin, so He can help us with kindness. So, if we accept the will of Jesus as ours and holding on to Him, He will help us in everything. Amen
