If I was melted

 

“You are the light of the world….” – Matthew 5:14 

 

In a house there were lot of candles of different size, shape and color. Among those entire candle, was a candle which is colorless, normal and small. It was sad and worried thinking "Why was I created like this? Why am i small, colorless and not beautiful?" 

 

One day there was a power cut and the owner of the house came to the room where all the candles were kept. The candles were excited about who will be used to lighten up the home tonight. The owner took the small colorless candles and lighted it up and kept it in the middle of the room. This candle was very happy that it can make the room bright. By the time the candle understood its purpose, "it was created to burn and give light, so why should I need good color and bigger size. These things will vanish once burnt. The reason I was created is to burn and brighten up the room". It was very happy that it fulfilled its purpose, melted and vanished. 

 

Matthew: 7:21 says, "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” We shouldn't be worried about our qualification, beauty, riches or talents. Let us all live to meet the expectations of our maker like the little candle did, unlike the beautiful candles.
