Peace

 

“My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places” - Isaiah 32:18 

 

Pastor H P Macartini was amazed to see Hudson Taylor was so calm amidst all the troubles he is going through. Macartini asked Hudson Taylor "You are communicating with lakhs of people but I'm in touch with few people, your letters are very famous but mine are very normal compared to yours. Amidst all these you are very calm, but I’m troubled how this is easy for you to handle." Hudson replied, "If incomprehensible peace didn't fill my heart I can’t do all these works". He was with God always; this is what said in John 15 Macartini writes. 

 

Dear beloved in Christ, we can read in the Bible in the book of Isaiah "My people will dwell in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings and quiet resting places". We can read in Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you". In every child of God's life peace is independent on their environment but on the relationship, they have with God. Holy Spirit have mentioned about peace in lot of verses in the Bible. How can we find out that we are in God? When you are anxious, if we seek God with petition and prayer, peace which transcends all understanding will protect our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. In psalms David says “Great peaces have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble." Those who want to live in peace don’t have to search for peace somewhere else. It is found in Jesus Christ. Come to Him to live in peace. You can get the peace which this world cannot give.
