Free

 

“…seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you” – Matthew 6:33 

 

Rani will go to her friend Sugi's home for the ginger tea she serves daily. One day Sugi brought tea in a glass cup. Rani had a sip and find out that it was coffee not tea. Rani asked why it is coffee and not ginger tea. Sugi replied, "I bought sunrise as they gave a glass cup for free with sunrise coffee powder, so I bought two. So, we changed to coffee.” Housewives are happy to get things for free.

 

Bible says "…seek ye first the kingdom of God, then food, dress, everything you need for your living will be given unto you for free." A proverb goes like this "we work for to satisfy our stomach." Everything we need to live be free, when? When we seek the kingdom of God that is we have to keep God as our first priority and seek his kingdom and righteousness! But in this busy world we want to get only free things and we don't want to do the important thing. Whatever is happening in our lives if we spent at least 30 minutes in his feet the rest of our day will be good and joyful.

 

My dear! What are you searching for, freebies or the kingdom of God? We are spending time for earning, cooking and shopping but we are busy to spend time with God. We have time to spend with spouse, children, family and friends but we forget God. Then we are sad thinking, oh God my life is hard, it’s a failure and so on. When we spend time with God all our basic needs are free. But we switch to worldly pleasures when we see something for free. Let us change ourselves to the freebies given by God like Sugi changed from tea to coffee on getting a cup for free. Devil diverts us from God's freebies so be careful. Prioritize God first, why should we struggles for things that should be free?
