Love thou enemies

 

"…Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you” - Luke 6:27

 

Okanji, an wood cutter from an under developed tribe called Yako accepted Jesus Christ. His employer Mansijo belonged to a different tribe, and he hated Yako tribe, so he was awaiting a reason to terminate Okanji from his job. Due to his hate, he had on Yako tribe Mansijo told Okanji that he is terminated from his job. He tried to talk to his employer but mansijo was very stubborn. He saw some people were trying to cut a tree, Okanji told them to cut the bigger branch first if not, it will fall on different direction and cause damage. All of a sudden, the tree started falling on a vehicle standing nearby, but Okanji didn’t hesitate, pulled mansijo and both escaped the fall of the tree. 

 

Okanji stood up and said, “Thank you Jesus”, Mansijo saw this and he got lots of questions in his mind. Mansijo asked Okanji “How can you save me? I hated you and tortured you, but you forgave everything and saved me”. Okanji said I can do that because I worship Jesus Christ. Mansijo with tears on his eyes said, "Forgive me, I want to know about your savior"

 

Peter cut the ear of a soldier who came to capture Jesus, but Jesus healed him. Jesus Christ Himself forgave those who crucified him on the cross and pleaded to the Father to forgive them. My beloved! Jesus Christ said, "Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you". It is hard for us to do this but if God is with us we can surely do it. If someone cursed us for our good deeds, obviously we will be angry on them. But if the love of God is with us, we can bless them.
