Daily Devotion (English) – 23.06.2022

 

He knows it all 

 

“…For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.” – Matthew 6:8 

 

On a fine day the climate was good. A man thought to go for boating and took his boat and went into the sea. He went far into the sea and all of a sudden wind slowed its pace, so it was hard for him to steer his boat. He started to pray while steering the boat as the sun is going down. He prayed "Jesus please increase the pace of the wind I will reach the shore." But there was no answer to his prayers, he was really tired and down. He saw a ship at a distance approaching him; the people on that ship helped him, gave food to him, tied his boat with the ship and took him to the shore. On reaching the shore he prayed "My God you know all my needs I thank you for giving them on right time."

 

In today's devotion we can see a man suffered from an infirmity for 38 years. He might have given up all the hope on his life, he might have thought I'm completely useless, there is no chance for me, I can’t do anything on my own and others will not help me as well. When Jesus asked him "Do you want to get well?" he might have thought that finally someone showed up to help me and let me get into the pond. But Jesus didn't let him go into the pond like he wanted instead Jesus answered in his own will saying "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk" at once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.

 

My dear, lot of us are waiting for God's answer in situations like "My life is stuck between nowhere, hindrance for ministry, for my children's marriage and so on." We want God to answer according to our own will. God knows your needs better than you. He will do it according to His own will. He can change your life in an instant. Pray to Him, let him know our problems and surrender you to him and wait for His reply. God will do miracles.
