Daily Devotion (English) – 01.02.2021

Let us share

“Therefore, those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word.” – Acts 8:4

Once Wigglesworth, an evangelist who was used mightily by God held his meetings at Sidney, Australia. One day he was taken to the fanciest restaurant visited by the wealthiest for lunch. Wigglesworth looked around like an eagle. Instead of sitting down, he hit the side of a glass with a silver fork “Bing, Bing, Bing, Bing.” Everybody stopped eating. When he had arrested everyone’s attention, he raised his hand and said “Ladies and gentlemen, I have noticed since arriving here, that none of you prayed over your food. You resemble a team of pigs to me. You just jump in and eat without giving thanks to the one who had provided for you. Bow your heads and I will pray for you.” He raised his hands and prayed for those people. Before he had left the restaurant, two families came over and got saved. How fearless this great man of God was! Time, place and situation mattered not to him to proclaim the gospel.

In the book of Acts we read that the gospel was preached fearlessly to all kinds of people without discrimination.

1.Peter: - Though he was uneducated and untrained, preached the word of God to 3000 to 5000 people. In the midst of teachers of law who were experts in the law of Moses he preached undaunted. He did his ministry not only amid multitudes but also at Caesarea in the house of Cornelius and in small prayer groups.

2. Philip: - Although he was serving tables, the entire city of Samaria rejoiced when he preached the gospel. He was asked by the angel to go to the desert road to Gaza. God made use of him to preach the good news about Jesus to Ethiopian eunuch of great authority.

3. Paul: -   He was educated under the supervision of Gamaliel. The Lord opened Lydia’s heart to listen to the things which were spoken by Paul and her family was saved. While he was in jail, the Philippian jailer got the chance to taste Jesus and was converted. Thus, he preached in Athens, in castles, in Islands, in the presence of governors and in all the places and among all the people.

Beloved all, the gospel is the property of all the human beings born in the world. The gospel belongs to the rich, poor, slaves, masters, servants and everyone irrespective of status, rank position, level, creed, race and age. But we who have received our share of property fail to share it with others. Let us think over it. We have every right to share the gospel the precious property with others. Let us enjoy the property and give it to the others and let them rejoice in it.
