Turn to God quietly
“…Behold and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which has been brought on me…” - Lamentations 1:12
Is there any alternate love for what Jesus showed on the cross? Heavy cross, nail pierced hands and legs, crown of thorns and the sufferings he is going through there is nothing more harsh than that can come into our lives. Ruben a songwriter's song "Turn to him" explains the sufferings He went through, and it ends with "We should turn to him quietly during our hard times".
William Carrey, Graham Steins, Richard Williams, Hudson Taylor, David Livingston, Rackland though they are highly educated and born into rich families in western countries left everything and came for Christ. Suffered from heat, children and wives died, hunger, can’t even sleep for 4 hours amidst all these they lived and died for the sake of gospel.
If we look at Joseph's life from the Bible, we can see that he was quiet amidst all his troubles. He was hated by his father's children, thrown in a pit, thrown in jail, blamed and sold amidst these entire he was calm. Paul also says that "he learnt to remain calm in all the situations".
But we are tired and sad when facing the problems and murmuring that "why is this happening to me". God knows everything happens in our life. Nothing can come near us without his permission. We should know this and stay calm and if we turn to him in our hard times, he will do miracles. Let us know that what we are going through is nothing compared to what he went through on the cross. Let us praise God because there is always light in the end of the tunnel. There is no doubt that we will receive the everlasting crown.
