We are special 

 

“That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.” - John 1: 9

 

There lived a rich man who was also very famous and a God-fearing man in a village. People respected them both. People from different places came to this God-fearing man for his advice. Rich man was angry and jealous. He thought to himself " I'm rich, talented and helping lot of people but he believes in Jesus Christ and lives a simple life then how come he is respected this much? ". This rich man decided to confront him and ask him directly. 

 

Rich man confronted him on an evening. God fearing man made him wait for some time and met him at dusk " there are reasons for people to respect me but why do people respecting you like me?" The rich man asked to the God-fearing man.

 

God fearing man took him to a rose garden in his backyard and the moon was very beautiful and bright. "This rose which is created by God doesn't think that I am neither higher than nor as bright as the moon and get worried or jealous, the moon doesn't think that I am not soft and read as a rose. Like that God created us with different set of talents and individuality. Why should we compare ourselves with others and get worried?" He asked. 

 

Cain was jealous on his brother Abel, Joseph’s brothers were jealous on Joseph, Saul on David. We can see lot of examples from the Bible. Jealousies germinate when we see someone with something that we don't have, or someone being accepted. Why should we be jealous? "God has created us with lot of talents and we are special" if we don't have this thought we will underestimate ourselves and also, we will be jealous on others. My dear friend, jealousy is a cronic disease. It will damage our mind. So let us cast jealousy out with prayer. I am special. "I will be useful for God with the talents. He has given me" let these thoughts fill us.
