Trust in God

 

“Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust…” – Psalms 40:4

 

James's hands and legs were impaired since birth, only a few fingers in his legs were protruding. He will do his work with those fingers. When he goes to school some pitied, and some made fun of him. He was worried about himself and decides not to go to school. His parents made arrangements for him to study from home. He was taught Bible along with his education. Then he started to read Bible. He started believing in God and he is not worried about him anymore. He believed that God can be glorified through him. What a surprise he is now working in a Bible College. 

 

In Bible the book of Job will strengthen us in times of troubles. He lost everything in a single day but still he didn't curse God or lose faith in God, he said "The Lord alone gives and takes, praise the name of the Lord!", "I know that you can do everything and no purpose of yours can be withheld from you". That much he relied on God. 

 

Children of God, those who are reading this! Whom or where have you put your trust on? On health, wealth, possessions or on humans all these are changing. God's beloved servant David says, " It is better to put trust in the lord that to put confidence in man". If we put our trust in possessions, we will be tired when we don’t have those things. God is unchanging, we can run like Job if we put our trust in the Almighty God We will be blessed as it is said in Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man whose hope is the lord."
