Sword of the spirit 

 

“For everyone who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is babe” - Hebrews 5:13

 

After Indian independence, India had to face few wars with her neighbour Pakistan. But India was victorious every time. Pakistan army examined their weakness, despite having advanced weapons those who were operating the weapons were inexperienced and that were the reason for their defeat. Even though they had advanced weapons those who using them were inexperienced that resulted for the defeat in war.

 

In spiritual world, there is a war against us. In that war our opponent is satan. He has weak weapons but he attacks lot of people with it . On the other hand we the children of God have the strongest weapons. Paul lists the weapons we have in Ephesians 6. We should be wearing full armour and appear as fully prepared soldiers of God but instead we are crawling like babies this is a sad news.

 

Satan tried to tempt Jesus Christ three times but Jesus was victorious by the Word of God. Jesus Christ pointed the words from the Bible and defeated Satan. Dear, as you are reading this passage, God wants you to be filled with the word of God. There is nothing else other than the word of God to protect us from the trials and temptations brought by Satan. So take the Bible read the word of the God, meditate and be filled with the word of God, You will be victorious.
