Daily Devotion (English) – 01.05.2022 (Kids Special)

 

Is this a happy vacation for you?

 

“Teach me to do your will, for you my God; your spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness” Psalms143:10 

 

You will be exceedingly glad as the summer vacation has begun. You will be playing different games and having a great time with your friends. Am I correct? Sibi, Jerry and Nat were close friends and they were sharing their plan for the holiday.

 

Nat invited his friends to the VBS which was going to be conducted near his house. He also described the interesting sessions they would have in VBS such as action songs, stories, skits and memory words. He also pointed out that different refreshment would be served. His teacher named Bharathi reminded him to come and attend VBS with his friends. So he pleaded with his friends to join him and enjoy the days.

 

Sibi replied that he could not come for VBS as his parents had already planned for a trip to his uncle’s house. Jerry also said that he was going on a tour by van with his mother. He began to dream about visiting places, enjoying the beauty of nature, bathing in the falls and boating. So Nat was little bit disappointed. They wished one another happy holidays and went home.

 

After the vacation, the three friends returned to school. Nat was excited to recollect his experience in the VBS. He said “I enjoy singing the new songs learnt in VBS. I found many new friends. We were taken for a picnic. Each day’s refreshment was quite different. On the whole, they were memorable days filled with fun”.

 

Sibi spoke about his bitter experience saying, “My nephew did not share his toys with me. He did not even let me touch them. Moreover my uncle was so busy that he did not find time to take us out. So, I had no chance to visit zoo, beach and swimming pool.”

 

Jerry also expressed his disappointment saying, “I saw others buying different toys and snacks for their children. But I was upset as my mother could not afford to get me anything. Moreover, as I fell ill on the way, I could not enjoy the sightseeing and boat ride.”

  

Nat told his friends to be of good cheer. He said to his friends, “Do not worry. We can certainly attend the children’s camp that will be conducted during quarterly exam holidays.” Dear children, have you planned to attend VBS during summer vacation? Don’t miss it! Ok. Bye! God bless you.
