The secret of nutrition

 

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God.” - 2 Timothy 3:6

 

“Boost is the secret of my energy” was a sensational advertisement in nineties not only among kids and youth but also among elders. Moreover, it was the advertisement of the legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and so it echoed in every nook and corner. Actually, if we think well, it would be a question mark whether Sachin’s strength lay in drinking boost. Nowadays there are many natural energy drinks that contain nutritious ingredient. So, when new product is introduced, there is a fall in the demand for old product. Nowadays energy drinks are quite common, and nothing excites the people. This is a lesson for us.

 

When Apostle Paul writes a letter to young Timothy, he describes why the word of God is so precious. He points out to Timothy that “You must continue in the things when you have learnt and been assured of knowing from whom you have learnt them and from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures”. Paul reminds him to be steadfast in the word of God not thinking that they contain old thing. As it is given by inspiration of God, it plays a vital role in shaping a person. Thus, he exhibits the magnificence and uniqueness of the bible. 

 

Beloved, the bible we read may be old but unique. If we meditate on it is endlessly fascinating. It cannot be deemed as one in ten. We understand new things and God is revealing Himself to us. The one who delights in the word of God will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season. To lead a triumphant Christian life, we require strength in our souls. The bible is the only nutrient that can strengthen our souls in Christ. The great liability to teach the greatness of the Holy Scriptures to the children and youth and the subsequent generation is in our hands. Let everyone shout that “The Bible is the secret of my energy” and live up to the words.
