Daily Devotion (English) – 03.03.2022

You are blessed! 

“As for man, his days are like grass; for the wind passes over it and it is gone…” – Psalms 103: 15, 16 

You are blessed! Do you know why? Yes, you are alive today.

There was a certain man who was enjoying his life. Quite unexpectedly he died of sudden cardiac arrest. The next moment, his spirit could feel that it would be consigned to hell after the last judgment. It looked at the corpse from which it was separated. It wailed saying, “Woe to me! Was I in this body for years? Oh, God, please send me into my body just once so that I can confess my sins and iniquities and ask forgiveness to those whom I had wronged. I plead with you to give me one more chance by sending me into the dead body. Christ Jesus with tears said, “There is no chance. Everything is finished. It is too late to regret.” 

Beloved readers, you and I are greatly blessed. We can do everything as long as we are alive. We can weep bitterly with a broken and contrite heart; we can get our sins cleansed by Jesus with His blood; we can reconcile with our enemies; we can turn from evil and do good. If we have deceived anybody out of anything namely land and money, we can pay them back. Thus, we have time to set matters right with God and man. But if time is up…Yes, we are living in the age of grace. We must remember that it won’t last forever. 

No one knows the time and day of our demise and the Day of Judgment. As we do not know when our hour will come and when our Lord will come, we need to be well prepared and be ready to meet our death or the Lord’s Day. So, we have to keep watch as the day is near. If the time comes, everything will be over. Even if we yell and scream, it was of no use. Let the riches of God’s goodness lead us to repentance right now.

Pray that God may raise 60 Shunammites to come forward to set up 60 “Homes for missionaries.
