Fed up with daily life?
“…God has already accepted your works.” – Ecclesiastes 9:7
Whatever problems we encounter in our lives are not gigantic problems. Even when such big problems creep in, if we can surmount those problems, we are ecstatic and gratified. At that time, our life seems to be meaningful. But in our day-today life we are fed up with the ordinary works carried out in the course of the day. These days today activities become part of our lives and we are bored by the same routine and monotonous duties such as going to school, for work, doing cooking, learning lessons and so on. The day today chores become burdensome and make us weary because we think we have not achieved anything great so far in our life.
When we hear or read about the great men of God who had accomplished astounding works for God, we feel that our lives are not worthwhile. There arises a question if our life is well- pleasing God.
We, who are called to perform greater things, should never forget what 1Corinthians 10:31 says. It is written, “Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all for “the glory of God.” Even if we do very little things for Jesus, He accepts them as sweet-smelling aroma. Little deeds done for Christ look so huge in the sight of God. But at the same time Himalayan task carried out for earning fame and name is deemed insignificant by God and they are not pleasing to the eyes of the Lord. So, whatever our hands find to do, can be done with all our might and with whole heart as to the Lord.
Beloved, our calling may be as a student, a house wife, an employed husband or a servant of God. It is not a problem. You just stay where you have been placed and do all your tasks fairly and faithfully and God will be glorified in you. God never disregards even if our work is mean and trivial. So never get fed up with your daily activities. Each and every work we do in our lives is received as sweet-smelling aroma in the presence of God. Hallelujah!
