Birds can be made use

“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others” - Philippians 2:4

Yes, we are the ravens commanded by God to feed the prophet Elijah. No one likes to keep us as their pets like parrot or canary because we are omnivores. We love to feed on meat. We are black but beautiful. We are known for our good nature. We are in the habit of inviting our relatives and friends for feast upon feed. The cuckoo birds lay their eggs in our nest. We take care of cuckoo’s eggs and her young ones as our babies. We love to stay in groups. We gather around and mourn the death of our fellow crow and pay our last respect. Are you not fascinated by our awesome nature?

The Lord who knows all about us and our good nature made use of us to carry out His mission. We are never, ever selfish. We live a selfless life considering the welfare of others. That was why we had a role to play in God’s action plan. Elijah was hiding from Ahab, the king of Israel. We were commanded to bring bread and meat to Elijah both in the morning and evening. We accomplished our task perfectly. It was done not for one or two days but for many months diligently. Even when we felt hungry, we did not taste his portion. That was why God has written about us and how we carried out His divine plan carefully. 

Beloved, we were very faithful in performing our responsibilities. As it is our principle, it was easier for us to execute our duty. We not only think about ourselves but also about the others. It is written in Philippians 2:4 that we should look out not only for our own interests but also for the interests of others. This habit is not possible in a day. It is formed through regular repetition. Dear ones learn to live for others. Once you start living for others you feel the real happiness, for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Prayer Request
Pray for the enlargement of the medical service done in Gethsemane campus in the New Year.  Pray that God may rise up dedicated servants of God for doing medical service.
