“Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” – John 4:14

I help you to maintain good health by purifying your blood. The more you drink me, the purer your blood will be. I flush out toxins from your body through urination and the organs function properly. So, you need to take in two to three liters of me daily. A person can live without food for one or two days, but water is very essential to survive. Suppose you do not get me for a day you will feel fatigue, extremely thirsty and dehydrated. At that moment you can only say, “I am thirsty.”  This is how your body is constituted. 

Ok, you might have read about the woman of Samaria in the Bible. Jesus being wearied from the journey sat by a well. At that time a Samarian woman came to the well for fetching in me. Jesus asked her to give Him a drink. The woman was perplexed as the Jews had no dealings with Samaritans. She wondered how Jesus being a Jew could ask her for anything. I know Jesus is the fountain of living water and there must be some longing and hidden motive behind His request. 

Yes, my guess was right that it must be His thirst for souls.  Jesus said, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again; whoever drinks of the water I shall give him will never thirst.” I looked at Jesus with excitement. How wonderfully Jesus performed personal ministry to her and eventually He won the souls of all the people in that place. What an impact He had made on the woman of Samaria! The Samaritan woman leaving her water pot went into the city and testified to the Samaritans that she had seen Jesus. 

Beloved in Christ, I, the water wishes every one of you to have real burden for souls as Jesus had. When Jesus was on earth, He was always keen in doing the will of God who sent Him and finish His work. The Samaritan woman was convicted of her sins and she repented. When she received the living water, Jesus and she let others know the living water. What a blessing! I am ordinary water just quenching the thirst in your body but Jesus; the living water can satisfy the thirst of your soul. So, every one of you help other people get to know Jesus. Because he alone can quench the thirst of the souls. Rivers of living water will flow out of the heart of one who believes in Jesus. Hallelujah!
