Until Jesus comes back

 

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might” – Ecclesiastes 9:10

 

Our life is so brief and so frail and so uncertain. We do not know what a day will bring and what will be tomorrow. How fleeing our life is! Of course, we are all one step away from death. Our times are in God’s hand. No one knows when and how our end will be. Who can predict whether we will finish the race sooner and later? But it is certain that our days are numbered. Death comes in many different ways such as sickness, pestilence, earthquake, landslide, flood, violent storm, tempest, murders, suicides and the list go on.

 

Only when we are alive, we can perform good works. God has given us wisdom knowledge and wonderful talents for doing good works. In fact, we are created in Christ Jesus for good works. So, we must make the best use of time gifted to us and grab the opportunity available to do good to others. So, King Solomon says, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.” We can serve and help the members of our family. We can go out of our way and do more than what is assigned to us. We can take good care of our parents and parents-in-law. We can bring up our children with love and care. We can reach out to our neighbors and relatives in need. 

 

One, who is good at studies, can help out his friends with their studies and enhance their learning. God longs to see everyone witnessing through our words and deeds at home first. So let us not become weary in doing good for in due season we shall reap sure. Soon Jesus is coming on clouds of the sky with power and glory to give everyone according to his work.

 

So let us redeem the time and do whatever our hands find with our might and with whole heart. Sometimes while doing so, we may confront troubles and losses and our good works may not be acknowledged. But let us continue to do them of our own freewill. So let us stand the test and receive the crown of life promised by God to us. Thus, let us be diligent about doing good.
