Wisdom is important 

 

“Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding;” – Proverbs 3:13

 

Hai Kutties, how are you? Every week you listen to my stories, don’t you? Today I would like to narrate a real story from the Bible. Are you ready to listen to the story? “Say Oh, Oh yes!” Yes, superb! Once there was a famous king named Solomon. His father David walked before God in righteousness and he was a man after God’s own heart. He did good works to people and on the whole, he was an able ruler. King Solomon also loved the Lord best. Have you ever had dreams? The Lord appeared to Solomon in his dream at night. God said, “Ask. What shall I give you?” Suppose, God appears in your dream and asks you what you want, what will you ask for? Just think in your mind.

 

King Solomon also thought well. Do you think he would have asked for honor riches and fame? No, not at all. Then what else did he ask for? Listen. I shall tell you. He asked for an understanding heart to judge people and to discern between good and evil. His speech pleased the Lord. The Lord gave him wisdom and exceedingly great understanding and he also gave him riches and honor that he had not asked. Men of all nations and the kings of the earth who had heard his wisdom came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. People were astonished at his wise judgment. On hearing his name and fame all the earth sought the presence of Solomon. He was not only a wise king but also a rich and famous king. Beloved little children, the lord who gave wisdom to Solomon will give wisdom to us too. The Lord is ready to give wisdom to all liberally if they ask of God. We can obtain wisdom only from Jesus Christ who is the source of wisdom. Let us get wisdom and knowledge by fearing God in the New Year and be triumphant. My loving wishes to you all.
