Tears are collected
“...Put my tears into your bottle; are they not in your book?” – Psalms 56:8
In a certain family, the mother was undergoing a lot of troubles. She was treated cruelly and beaten by her husband often. She went for work and endured all her sufferings patiently for the sake of her two sons and had been praying with tears for years continuously without losing heart. After many years her prayer was answered. Her tears were not futile. The Lord God remembered her tears. Both the sons were blessed with a bright and prospers life. The day dawned on her husband to receive transformation. They were rejoicing in Christ as a family. The reason was, God put her tears into His bottle. He answered her prayer just at the right time.
The young David defeated the giant warrior Goliath and slew him. When David was returning from the battlefield, the women came out of all the cities of Israel. They sang, danced and praised David saying, “Saul has slain his thousands; and David his ten thousand.” The compliment given to David displeased Saul. From that day onwards he eyed David. But hiding his envy and hatred he gave his daughter Michal as David’s wife. But he began to persecute and pursue David. David was running for life hiding himself in strongholds in the wilderness and in the mountains and deserts. Very often David cried out and prayed to God with tears. Thus, David assures, “Your number my wanderings; put my tears into your bottle; are they not in your book?” According to his assurance, his tears were remembered and at the right time he was crowned as the king of Judah and later exalted to reign over all Israel. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.
Beloved readers, we may be praying incessantly for a specific purpose. We may be lamenting for not getting answer for our tearful prayer. Our tears are never wasted. They are recorded in His book. So, reward awaits us. God never leaves any work unpaid. We shall be rewarded at the right time. Let us pray without growing weary. Victory is ours for sure.
