Don’t be idle
“I must work the work of him who sent me while it is day….” – John 9:4
A promising growth in man power agencies is recorded in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi. These agencies provide services that help the clients to fill their man power requirements. The skilled workers are given the most relevant jobs in which they could perform their best. So, the workers for all sorts of companies are recruited through the man power agencies. So, the companies are flourishing and the work is done on time.
The parable of workers in the vineyard used by Jesus is quite astonishing. The master of the vineyard went out early in the morning about 3 o’ clock, then 6 o’ clock, 9 o’ clock and 11 o’ clock respectively hiring laborers. When he went out around 4 o clock, he found others standing idle and said to them “Why have you been standing here idle all day?” What an example! Those workers who were sluggish listened to the master’s word and went and worked at least for an hour. In the evening, he gave them the right wages. Having received the reward, they went home merrily.
See how great the thought in God’s mind is! He does not want us to waste the valuable time fruitlessly. He expects us to do something for Him and for the enlargement of His kingdom. There are numerous ways to use our man power, time, talents and possessions and to help building the kingdom of God. Let us take a resolution to proclaim the gospel and uphold God’s ministry. Let us diligently work for God. We can set aside at least an hour a day to pray earnestly for our country.
