Experience and declare 

 

“…when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.” – Luke 2:17 

 

In the world, everyone hears a lot of news through their ears. The news may be good or bad. But we are not content with just hearing and reading the news. We long to see them with our own eyes and to experience them to get first-hand knowledge of them. Then we talk about them to others and share our own experience. Sharing the news plays a major role in all social medias. If any news or anything found to be useful it is posted immediately. What happens in a corner of the world, goes viral and viewed by millions.

 

In the second chapter of the gospel of Luke, the good tidings of the birth of Jesus were announced to the shepherds by an Angel. They listened carefully and decided to rushed to the place at once in the biting cold. They came with haste and beheld baby Jesus. They heard the glad news, went and saw the happening with their eyes and they made the saying which was told them concerning Jesus widely known. They have set a good example for us. They rejoiced and proclaimed, shared and spread the good tidings of the birth of Jesus to everyone. The first gospel ministry of the shepherds makes us wonder.

 

Beloved friends, what is our stance? Do we listen to the matter regarding God and His works with enthusiasm? Do we like to experience things we heard about or just try to forget all about it? How quickly do we respond to it and try to share it? While writing this message, I was reminded of God’s man Brother Emil Jebasingh and his saying. He used to say, “Know Jesus, experience Him and proclaim.” We have the world in our palms in the form of smart phone. Instead of wasting time in browsing, let us share the wonders of the living God to others. Let us make the truth about Jesus go viral everywhere. That is the need of this hour. Let the world know Jesus.
