God the Father’s love

 

“And walk-in love, as Christ also has loved us …” – Ephesians 5:12

 

A certain ship was approaching the port. That ship was Logos Hope that took the messages of the gospel to the least reached people and placed. OM (Operation Mobilization) ships international is the organization doing ship ministry and logos hope belongs to it. A banner was displayed majestically that carried the good news that “God loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have believes in everlasting life” (John 3:16). Yes, indescribable love of our Father in heaven is described beautifully in this verse.

 

God created the world so perfectly in a unique way. His desire was to see everyone living happily. He created a beautiful lush green garden of Eden and Adam and Eve were places in the God’s Garden. They disobeyed God’s instruction and sin entered the world. They lost their joy and intimacy with God. So, God sent his Son to the world to deliver mankind from sins and fear of death. The love of God was manifested in sending His only begotten Son into the world to be the propitiation for our sins.

 

Christmas is the manifestation of God’s love. He loved the world and gave His son. This describes the immeasurable and boundless love of God. We were neither loving nor upright. But He loved we were sinners. Jesus Christ manifested the abundance of His love by stretching out His arms on the cross that denotes that there is no limit to the span of Christ’s love. 

 

Beloved, love is the Centre theme of the Bible. That love is the core of all our lives as Christians. We are indebted to love others as God loved us. That is the first and greatest commandment. Thus, let us reconcile to them, against whom we have bitterness and enmity. A loving smile, little words of love, sharing good things and exchanging greetings can serve as the bridge for our reunion. Christmas season is the best time for doing it. Let us love others. Do good to evil. Love our enemies and fulfill God’s commandment.
