Can this be possible?
“He will not cry out, not raise His voice. Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.” – Isaiah 42:2
Mother Teresa charitable Trust is a social welfare organization striving for the uplift meant of the poor, needy, down trodden and under privileged in the society without any discrimination. Social service is a part of it and is carried out by the kind hearted volunteers who have got their names registered. A message or a call is enough to bring the volunteers to the spot for rescuing the person in trouble. Prayer warrior brother Patrick Joshua, the former general secretary of FMPB and the founder of National Prayer network got his name enrolled as a volunteer.
One day, the volunteers received a message that a certain man who had collapsed at the Central Railway station was in need of immediate help. On hearing the news, within moments brother Patrick rode on his two-wheeler and reached the spot. Three more volunteers were already at the station. They gave first aid to the fainted man and took him to the hospital. They helped him get admitted to the hospital. Brother Patrick breathed a sigh of relief as they were able to aid the needy on time. He asked one of the volunteers what he was. Brother Patrick was astonished to hear that he was the collector of that district. What a humble man he was!
Leaving the glory of heaven, taking the form of a bond servant, Jesus came as the embodiment of humility and devoid of pomp and show to redeem the mankind. The King of Kings did not sleep on the bed in the AC room in the palace. Let us ponder. Where do we stand when we think about the King of Kings who was lying in a manger? Can we forget the district collector who assisted to take the man to the hospital without an air of dignity and discrimination? Do we take pride in our authority and status? Let us try to be as humble as our savior who came to the earth. Moreover, Jesus went about doing good (Acts 10:38). So let us not behave like the priest and the Levite who just passed by on seeing the man who was left half dead by the thieves. Let us all try to be good Samaritans who can volunteer to help others whole heartedly not expecting anything in return.
