Love Revolution

 

“For God so loved the world.” - John 3:16

 

A Royal boat was gliding like a swan in a river at the magical time of twilight. A certain king, his only son, a minister and some royal guards were there on the boat. They were enjoying the boat ride and the beauty of the river in the twilight and the cool and gentle breeze. The king and his minister got into a conversation. The king asked the minister why God had come to the world to save the sinners. He could have sent one of his angels. The minister seemed to be unresponsive but he was thinking hard in his mind quietly. The king chuckled to himself as the minister could not answer his query. The prince who was putting his hand in water and feeling it flowing, fell into the water unexpectedly. Within moments, the king with a throbbing heart jumped into the river and saved his only son. The king’s clothes were wet thoroughly. The minister asked the king “Your highness, why did you jump into the water? You could have ordered one of the guards to save the prince”. The king resented and replied that it was his beloved son who was quivering in water. Then the minster spoke to the king gently saying, “Yes, your highness, this is how god’s son came from heaven to the earth to save the mankind from perdition.

 

Yes, God’s love for us is indescribable and unfathomable. God gave his only son as a sacrifice to redeem us and give us eternal life. Someone may dare to die for a good man. But God demonstrated his own love for us by laying his life for us while we were sinners. 

 

Beloved, Christmas is the manifestation of love. In the world history, years are marked using BC (the years before Christ) And AD (Anno domine, the year of the lord. The heaven and the earth rejoiced at the birth of Jesus. The bible says, there is glory to God in the highest heaven and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests. Understanding the love of God let us proclaim it. Let us grow in love and let our hearts overflow with love.
