Daily Devotion (English) – 10.10.2021 (Kids Special)

 

Butterfly 

 

“See I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands.” – Isaiah 49:16 

 

Darling kids! I love to see you all face to face. Anyhow I am delighted to talk to you on Sundays during story time. Do you remember the songs we learnt on Sundays? You remember to sing those songs. Ok. If we sing songs in praise of Jesus our enemy, satan begins to tremble. There is great power in our songs of praise to Jesus. So, keep singing. Ok, here is a story of a lively butterfly. 

 

It was extremely boring for the two friends as they do not go to school for months. Their village was beautiful and green everywhere. The two friends were walking along the green fields. They were enjoying the cool breeze. Butterflies and dragon flies were flying cheerfully here and there. Don’t you like to play catching butterflies? Have you ever caught a butterfly? Butterflies are colorful, aren’t they? The very sight of butterflies makes us happy. You know it? 

 

Both the friends made attempts to catch the butterflies. One of the two friends caught a butterfly. He put forth a question to his friend. He asked him to tell if the butterfly in his hand was alive or dead. His friend thought for a while. He knew that his friend would crush it to death, if he said it was alive and he would let it fly if he said it was dead. So, he said wisely that was within his power to keep it alive or to kill it. His friend was delighted with his reply. So, he opened his hand saying, “Do not be scared butterfly; Fly away happily.” 

 

Beloved children, the boy’s friend answered wisely with a great concern for the safety of the butterfly. Jesus Christ has inscribed us in His palm. He will protect us so carefully and tenderly. We must submit ourselves into the hands of our Lord. No one can snatch us from His hand. We must always remember to pray to Jesus to protect us from the clutches of the evil doers and satan. I wish that you all come out with flying colors and live as witness to Christ. Bye Kutties!
