Daily Devotion (English) – 12.09.2021 (Kids Special)

 

Gopika and baby chicks

 

“…I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.” – Psalm 91:15

 

That was a beautiful small green village with stream. There lived one little girl called Gopika. She loved rising of birds. Kutties! What are all the animals and birds, you are rising in your house? You will grow cat, dog, parrot, chicken etc., no? Gopika also bought one hen and 6 coloured chicks and grew them. Daily in the morning and evening, she fed the chicks, provided water, and cleaned the cage with vigour. Then she played with those chicks along with coloured balls. She would let the mother hen with its chicks out. She did this daily.

 

One day she put the hen and chicks out with coloured balls and she ran away to play with her friends. Chicks played with those coloured balls by pushing them with the help of their mouth. One of the balls with which the chicks were played, rolled over and fell into a bush. Immediately, those six chicks ran to the push and stood around the bush and thought how to take the ball. At that time, there was a big snake raging and was about to eat the chicks. Those chicks shouted when they saw the snake. When the mother hen heard the shouting of her chicks, it turned and saw. When the hen saw a snake which was going to hunt its chicks, the hen flied quickly and bit the eye of the snake. That snake fell down. At that time, the chicks ran fast to a hiding place. Then the mother hen collected all its chicks and hugged in to its wings. Those chicks slept calmly contained by the mother’s hug.

 

Little brother and sister! Our father, Jesus is also like this mother hen. Whenever you are in a danger or need of something, He will come and help you. The only thing, you to do, is calling the father, Jesus. Ok.
