Horlicks Christians

 

“…the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.” - Acts 11:26

 

One pastor went to a house warming ceremony of one believer. After the Prayer he was taken to all rooms in the house. When the pastor entered into the kitchen, he was astonished and asked the head of the family, “These many Horlicks bottles? Do all in your family like Horlicks this much?” For that he said with smile, “Out of these bottles, Horlicks is in only one bottle. In all other bottles, dhal, lentils and like that are put in.” When heard this, pastor has smiled. 

 

The disciples, who were in Antioch, were called Christians first. ‘Disciples’ means the followers of the Christ. ‘Followers of the Christ’ means, persons with Christ. They were, only, called as Christians. But nowadays, like the Horlicks bottles in that house, those, who are even having Christian names and going to church, think that they are to be called as Christians and they will reach the paradise. But, if you are not having Christ in your heart and life and not following Him everyday vigorously, you are that Horlicks Christians only. But our Lord won’t like this fake life. Also, He won’t allow us in the Paradise. Those children who are having the Christ as their father are the only Christians. Children without Christ are the children who rejected their father. If today you reject our Father, in Paradise, He will reject you.

 

Beloveds! What about you, being called as Christians? Are you with the father or living like Horlicks Christians? Think it over. Do not forget that your present life is the base for acceptance or rejection in the Paradise. Today itself, we will unite with Christ. By following Him, we will get into the Paradise.
