The person who won’t leave and forsake
“…I will not leave you nor forsake you.” – Joshua 1:5
One father and his small daughter were walking on a bridge. One river was running beneath the bridge. Father told his daughter “Daughter! Hold my hand. You will not fall.” Daughter told “No, Dad! You hold my hand”. Father was surprised, and asked “What is the difference, if you hold my hand and I hold your hand?” Daughter told “If I hold your hand, sometimes there is a chance of leaving you. If the path is slippery, I may leave your hand. But if you hold my hand, you will not leave me, whatever happens.” Father was melted and hugged his daughter in his chest and walked.
In our Holy Bible, Joshua, man of God, was selected to guide the children of Israel. The Lord said to him “I will not leave you, nor forsake you.” As said by Him, our Lord did not leave them and did not forsake them till the end. The reason was Joshua also hold the hands of our Lord.
Yes, Beloved! Jesus walks with us by holding our hands tightly. But most of the time, we leave His hand and run away. Till we have courage and overconfidence, we like to through away the hand of Jesus. But He wants to be with us till the end of this world and guide us. Yes. Particularly, our Lord has not left us and forsaken us, up to this month in this year. He has not left and not forsaken us in our temptations, troubles and ailments and we shall hold His hand only. He has the supremacy not to leave us and not to forsake us and guide us, in the coming days also. Hallelujah!
